2016 is set to be an exciting and inspirational bridal season. The 2016 wedding dress trends include the re-emergence of the two-piece wedding dress, not seen in bridal for almost twenty years. It is a response to brides’ desire for more individuality and styling that owes more to fashion trends than usual.
The designs reflect a much stronger sense of confidence. Exposed midriffs, cut-out backs and hi-lo hemlines are elements that will push the boundaries of wedding gown style. Bridal separates also offer great opportunities to pair different fabrics and textures.
2016 also sees more demand for less detailed wedding dresses, or ‘perfectly plains’ as I like to call them. The beautiful simplicity of these styles make it all about the cut and the fit. A perfectly cut wedding dress can have a real impact on the day and in wedding photographs.
Every bride wants to feel special and know that her wedding dress reflects her style and her personality. A carefully selected jacket or shrugette, a sash or a belt – planning the combinations you wear for the different parts of the wedding day, and accessorising ‘perfectly plains’ with a dazzling array of interchangeable accessories, can create the perfect bridal outfit for 2016.
