Should You Keep Your Wedding Make-Up Natural?

A question often asked by many of my brides is "Should I keep my wedding make-up natural?". The answer is in how you wear your make-up normally.  Are you a product junkie and vary your look with each change of the wind, or are you too scared to change your look that's been with you since you started going to the school disco?

You may also fall into the category of not wearing any at all and be almost phobic about the thought of your eager make-up artist coming at you with her ever ready tool belt of brushes, glitter, glitz and glamour. I feel a good reflection of how you will look is in your make-up artist's look. Has she got natural pretty make-up that inspires you to engage in her advice or is she vampy, smokey and OTT!?

If you can identify with her look and her portfolio of happy brides then you are half way there. Make sure you take into account that you are not going to look exactly the same as when you do your own make-up as you will know your face like no other person could ever do. Communicate and help your make-up artist with what you like and what you loathe and don't be afraid to say if something is not quite right. Any make-up artist worth their salt will help identify any dislikes and tweak your make-up until your look is complete. You should feel excited that you finally know you are confident enough to face the congregation with that beautiful face your other half fell in love with.

Now go and enjoy. This is the fun part! Xx
