Get Shopping for Your Groomswear Guys!

A new year is here guys so get shopping for your groomswear.  My experience tells me that organising outfits for the groomsmen is usually last on the “to do list” for many weddings.  This seems a little wonky to me. We often “kit out” 6-7 guys so could argue that we have a greater affect on the look of many weddings.  Here are a few things to think about.

It may be that you can’t choose wedding outfits early because, for instance, a colour scheme hasn’t been decided on, but choosing the service / company to supply you is as important as what you get from them.

Be careful when buying yourself something such as a suit or waistcoat as you may find it impossible to co-ordinate or find outfits for the groomsmen.  I am often presented something purchased by a groom which is so, let us just say unique, that no formal wear store in the land will have anything to offer to compliment it. More and more stores, ours included, now carry better quality suits and accessories designed to cater for the entire groom’s party so why not investigate that first.

The vibe for 2010 is very much grey & greens, with bookings for this year being much greater than the previous two or three years. If you are getting married in the “peak” months, June, July, August & September, again book outfits earlier than you may think.

Good luck with your search.
