Choosing a Stag/Hen Weekend Destination
This is a question you may come up against when planning your hen or stag weekend; “Do I want a weekend focused around nightlife or chilling, guaranteed sunshine or full on activities?”
The city has loads of night-time choices, with clubs catering for all manor of genres, restaurants for all sorts of taste buds, and bars to drink, catch up and socialise in. The sticks is a more sedate affair; stunning scenery, fresh air and country pubs you can chill out and catch up with your old mates.
Both locations will have daytime activities such as Spa Days, Quad Biking, Rage Buggies and Paintball on offer.
However, daytime activities such as hat making, cider/whisky tasting, or white water rafting will be specific to one or a few destinations across the UK and Europe.
Whose to say you couldn’t combine the two and have a chilled out Friday in North Wales, and a hectic and full on Saturday night out in Manchester or Chester?
The right destination for your stag or hen party is paramount, so take into account who is confirmed and coming (bride's father, the hen's older auntie) as this should also influence your decision.
You may decide that you want guaranteed sunshine so you have a tan for the wedding, and in the summer months you are guaranteed sunshine in the Mediterranean.
Popular Mediterranean stag and hen destinations include Ibiza, Majorca and Marbella; they are always jammed to the rafters with stag and hen parties celebrating their last few days of freedom.
If you prefer a more chilled weekend go further east and head for Greece, Italy or even Turkey. Here you will find hot sunshine, great food and beautiful beaches.
Another plus for heading to the Mediterranean is more and more hotels are going all inclusive, and there is no doubt that a free/inclusive bar on a hen or stag do is a no brainer!
