5 Tips for Creating the Perfect Wedding

Here are five of my top tips for creating the perfect wedding.

  1. The best weddings are not those with unlimited budget; they are often the ones where a personal touch is added that say ‘this is our wedding’. Adding your stamp and little details that express your relationship will wow your guests and leave everybody knowing whose wedding it was and why.
  2. If your budget allows, hire a wedding planner or at least an ‘on the day coordinator’. This service can be invaluable, allowing you to relax and enjoy your wedding day in the knowledge that you don’t have to worry about any details, it will all be taken care of. On the day coordination is not a costly service but it is a worthy one.
  3. Get the flow of the day correct; if your wedding is ‘bitty’ it will not seem right. Work on your timings and how you are going to work around your venue. Don’t forget the wet weather plan!
  4. Take some time to think about your wedding entertainment and your ‘guest list’. I am not too sure granny will enjoy hard thumping music for hours. Have an array of tunes that will incorporate your tastes but also get everyone young or old up and dancing.
  5. Get family/friend to help you, especially if you have not got professional assistance. Make up a list of jobs and delegate. Most importantly, check with all your wedding suppliers prior to the day that they are coming and know what they are doing.
