Stag Do Ideas to Keep the Boys Out of the Pub

Have you ever been on a stag weekend and it’s become a bit of a non-event because everyone started drinking at lunchtime and then peaked by 4pm?

It used to happen quite a lot hence the creation of stag activity weekends, where on the Saturday the boys are kept out of the bar until the evening by doing some type of adrenalin fuelled activities.

What I call adrenalin fuelled activities are things like coasteering, gorge walking, rage buggies, quad bike racing, white water rafting etc.

Back to basics less adrenalin fuelled adventures such as canoeing down the river Wye - camping by night and paddling by day, and survival days and weekends where the group pull together with one aim in my mind - to relax and get away from their busy lives, are also becoming more popular options too.

Other even more chilled out stag groups opt to hire a yacht with a skipper and sail to Cowes, the place where Prince William recently celebrated a stag do. Another real winner this year has been horse-racing weekend packages, but these weekends do include booze and adrenalin so watch out!

Activities like these are available in lots of UK and European destinations, and they turn a great weekend into an unforgettable one.

Whatever you decide to do on your stag do, just remember not to peak too soon, otherwise no one will remember your last days of freedom, not even you!
