Choosing a Wedding Stationery Design

When choosing wedding stationery I would always advise that you start by thinking about your wedding theme or colour scheme. If you have a theme like English Country Weddings, choose a colour scheme like pastel shades to suit. If you don't have a wedding theme then start with your colour scheme and look at stationery colours that complement your bridesmaids’ dresses and your flowers etc.

When it comes to choosing a design that sits well with your theme or colour scheme, choose a style that also suits your personality. Some examples include Classic, Elegant, Contemporary, Fun, Funky, Trendy, Vintage and Floral, but there are loads to choose from.

A great tip if you are still struggling to choose is to order a sample or two from different suppliers and put them up on your fridge or your wall. Over the course of a week, note which you are most drawn to when you come into the room and choose that one.

Once you have chosen your design make sure that you check the following from your supplier:

  • Lead time for orders (allow a month for most suppliers)
  • Print quality of the invite
  • Quality of the paper/materials
  • How promptly they respond to your requests
  • Friendliness of customer service
  • How easy it is to order from them

Often a company’s Facebook page will have genuine customer reviews which tell you how good or bad their service is.
