Why Dress Up?

I say, why not? Those of you who don’t have to wear smarts, let’s say to work for example, may not have had the chance to smarten up for ages. For those of us who do wear smarts, again say for work, what do we then choose to wear when we are invited to a bit of a do? To me it is simple. Why not use the function as an excuse to do something exceptional and really go to town on how you look, even if it is only for a couple of hours.

Being in the formal wear industry allows me to attend several formal functions. These can be anything from being invited to attend weddings that I have helped with, representing the company at awards ceremonies or indeed the all important trade functions. Even within our industry there are those that smarten up and those that don’t. Guess who will stand out, and I don’t mean in a good way.

Dressing up for the event, whatever it may be, not only means that you do as your invite dictates, it really will make you feel more a part of the function and more importantly a bit special for, well a short while anyway. It need not be expensive either. Nowadays there are many formal wear stores offering full ranges of formal wear to hire. You can buy as well but getting formal will not break the bank.
