Hen and Stag Parties - Beware of False Economy

In all my years of selling holidays from the stripy red shirt days of Lunn Poly (when I looked like a pasty stick of rock) to the present day of packaging up hen and stag dos I have learnt one thing, you get what you pay for.

Looking around to get the best package is all very well in the price comparison world of the internet but there is a key element to a price comparison - it should be like for like.

Say for example you find 2 similar packages but one is £15 cheaper, don’t just book it on price. Dig a little deeper and find out a few facts like what grade of accommodation you are booking; is one a 2* and the other a 4*? Do the packages include breakfast and if so is it full English or continental?

More importantly check where the accommodation is located. It’s no good being a 10 minute cab ride from the nightlife as you will end up spending more than the £15 you saved on taxi fares alone.

Check the amount of driving time you get for each activity if your package includes any driving activities. £15 is not a huge saving if on the cheaper package you only get 20 minutes driving time and the other is 40 minutes.

If it’s a pamper day, what sort of facilities are available for you to use and what treatments are included? Do they both include lunch? Pamper treatments vary so much in price.

Being thorough at the very beginning of the booking process will cause less headaches for you as the organiser; by asking a few simple questions you will ensure that you get the best value hen party and stag do for your group.
