5 Reasons to Have a Barn Wedding

Barns are increasingly popular as wedding venues. Here are 5 good reasons to have a barn wedding.

  1. Barns are the ideal wedding size
Because of their spacious, lofty design, barns are ideal for accommodating average wedding guest numbers.  Barns have the advantage over wedding venues that have several smaller rooms, where the wedding party can end up being separated.
  2. Great for wedding decorations
Fancy a chandelier or some elaborate venue dressing?  Barns are so adaptable when it comes to decorations and are often a blank canvas where you can add as much or as little decoration as you like.
  3. Fantastic for photographs
Because barns are usually in rural locations there will be plenty of outside space for wedding photos, be it in the gardens around the barn or down a country lane.
  4. Your wedding, your way
Some wedding venues can be quite formal or have a rigid template for weddings that is hard to personalise in order to get the sort of day you want.  Barn weddings tend to be more bespoke and couples have more freedom to make the day their own.
  5. Barns are beautiful
Barns come in all shapes and sizes; some are old and have been lovingly restored while some have been specially designed and built for weddings from scratch.  Some are rustic, while others are elegant and contemporary - but what all barns have in common is their own unique personality.
