Flower Bridal Accessories

Flowers are one of the most important elements of your wedding day.  They provide colour, vibrancy and scent to your event.

Many of the current wedding dress collections incorporate flowers into the designs, from delicate beading on the bodice to some amazing designs with huge organza corsages covering a whole skirt, and you can carry the floral theme through to your bridal accessories too.

A great place to start is with your hair accessories.  For a relaxed country wedding wear big blooms of fresh flowers around a low, messy side-bun, and add single pearl or crystal pins in between.

A word of caution – if you want to wear fresh flowers in your hair and are getting married abroad in a hot climate or think you might get lucky with the weather in the UK, use waxy, tropical flowers to avoid your flowers wilting.  Your florist can advise you on what to go for.

For a more glamorous look choose pearl or diamante accessories featuring a flower motif.  Side tiara headbands are very popular this season; they are a fresh, new way of wearing a headband or tiara without looking too ‘princessy’.

Many side tiaras feature pearl and crystal flowers or material corsage flowers which look beautiful worn in loose wavy hair or in up-styles.

A single flower pin or grip is a great accessory for a bridesmaid or flower girl, and can pull the look together across all the girls.

You can work the floral look into your jewellery with a delicate flower pendant, or go bold with a pair of bracelets or chunky necklace.  With this organic look, large or statement blooms are delightful.
