Wedding Hair Accessory Trends 2011
When it comes to choosing how to wear your hair on your wedding day, this is probably one of the hardest decisions to make. Do you wear it up, down, have an “in-trend” hair style, what will suit you and what accessories do you pick?

Hair trends have changed this year. Last season we saw a lot of half-up, half-down styles. This season low, loose buns and high, neat ballet-inspired hair styles are big news.

Hair pins are the perfect accessory for these styles, from the simple chic pearl pin to a more detailed decorative pin. Up-styles look gorgeous with pins around the bun and an added side detail headband or hair piece pinned in to give a vintage style, ballet look.

What we love about this season’s hair styles is that you are going to be able to choose a number of accessories for your hair and mix-and-match them to create a really individual look. Make sure you take your accessories to your hair trial so your hairdresser can try some different options.
Side tiaras are still very popular; they are easy to wear and look fabulous with a low, loose bun, adding the perfect amount of detail to your look.

For brides who like to break with tradition, new for 2011 are fabulous forehead bands and chains. Worn with a vintage style dress and loose flowing waves the look is pure boho-chic.
This season we are seeing less ‘bling’ and diamante and more gold tones and soft colour. Although gold has been less fashionable for many years it is coming back in a big way as it suits most hair colours and is a beautiful way to add softness and warmth to your wedding look.
