Royal Wedding Transport
It has been announced that on the day of the Royal Wedding Kate Middleton will go from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey by car, but which car? Who am I to make suggestions? No one really but let’s have a go.

Firstly I think we need to rule out foreign cars, after all the wedding is of our future King and Queen, so we have to dump the new Rolls Royces and Bentleys, they are now owned by BMW and Volkswagen respectively; also Jaguar, Daimler, Range Rover and Land Rover have to go – Indian. Vauxhall and Ford are American, Rover has recently died and Aston Martin is primarily Middle Eastern. TVR is Russian, Austin, Morris, MG, Austin Healey, Riley and Wolseley are Chinese and Hillman, Sunbeam and Talbot are French, so what is left?
The G-Wiz although popular in the UK is actually a joint venture between an American and an Indian company, and anyway it might be a little on the small side for the dress!

So really that just leaves Morgan and Bristol. Like the G-Wiz a Morgan may be a little on the small side leaving the Bristol as the obvious choice. However Bristol only produce two door cars which might cause problems for Kate when getting in and out; so what do we do? I guess we will have to use a Commonwealth car and guess what, I have an Australian 1923 Buick. This beautiful Open Tourer has plenty of dress room and I think it would be an excellent choice.

When travelling from the Abbey to the reception it has been decreed that the happy couple will have a carriage of some sort, but which sort? Well it must not be too tatty so that rules out Hercules offered by Albert and Harold, and not too ostentatious so that rules out William’s Grandmother’s crowning glory. There is the one his Grandfather uses but I’m not sure it will be quite in keeping. Also it must not get too overloaded and have an accident!
