Wedding Hair Trends 2011

The great news for all brides out there is that the wedding hair trend for 2011 is all about using relaxed versions of classic styles. With more and more fabulous wedding dresses out there you can afford to be more relaxed with your hair.

The styles for this year give a feeling that there is nothing forced and have the illusion of being perfect without trying.  This could be from using big baggy braids that have been ‘teased out’ and can float around the face and head and into a classic low knot. For the evening they can be transformed by taking out the knot and allowing the hair to flow freely whilst keeping the braids around the face, so you have two looks in one day! This works brilliantly with the structure of a wedding day, formal to begin with and lots of fun at the end.

You could have a classic chignon and leave the ends out for effortless softness which would be very romantic.

Playing around with texture is big news. If you have big waves or curly hair this can be enhanced to add more volume as an imperfect texture is the next big thing.

Using accessories can give a different feel to a beautiful blow dry. Don't rule out ideas such as a very simple hairstyle that has a little bounce and sits softly around your shoulders whilst an amazing accessory does all the work. It will create such a relaxed feel you will be floating down the aisle oozing confidence.

It’s always best to just experiment to find the best look for you whilst staying within the limits you are comfortable with.
