Alternative Wedding Table Decor - Because Not Every Bride Wants Flowers

Floral displays without a doubt do most of the work themselves in terms of making a space come alive, but what if you want something a little more original for the table decorations at your wedding?

These ideas will help get those creative juices flowing!

Incandescent Beauty

Make a statement with candles and really go to town using different shapes and sizes. Think about how you display them and use interesting containers and platforms such as cake stands or old tea tins. Don’t be afraid to introduce subtle scent too, vanilla is wonderfully romantic and your room will look stunning all-aglow at night.

Sweet Treats

Dessert and candy tables are very of the moment, so why not bring a touch of sweetness into the centre of your tables? Colourful selections of macaroons and cupcakes tied in with your colour scheme work wonderfully and will keep your guests happy if they fancy a snack throughout the day.

Love Story

If you love vintage style and want to achieve an antique feel, stack well-loved collections of books on your tables and use them to display your table name or number. You could even source books themed around love and marriage and tie them with coloured ribbon to highlight your wedding colours.

Tutti Frutti

Display apples, figs, lemons or limes in clear vases and bowls for a fresh, contemporary look. Try to choose fruits that aren’t soft or likely to suffer under heat, otherwise be sure to put them on ice or in water to keep them fresh and vibrant.
