Wedding Dress Trends 2011 - Straps and Sleeves

The bridal experts are predicting that 2011 is going to be the year for brides to cover up just a little bit, with a trend for wedding dresses with straps and sleeves.

There are plenty of beautiful styles to choose from like this classic Rose gown, which has slightly graduated straps with a plunging v neckline. This style allows brides to still wear a bra and cover up just a little bit, whilst still feeling really glamourous at the same time.

Alternatively brides may choose to totally cover up their arms and wear something with sleeves, like this gorgeous dress by Charlotte Casedejus.

The asymmetrical trend is also going to be big next year, once again allowing brides to cover up just a little bit and move away from the classic strapless A-line dress which has dominated bridal trends for the last few years. This stunning dress by Caroline Atelier is a perfect example of an asymmetrical dress with a bit of sparkle, and Luella's is lucky enough to be the exclusive stockist of this stunning design next year.

Shorter, shift style dresses teamed with cute boleros like this lovely lace one from the Lisa Redman collection are also comfortable to wear and perfect for any chic city wedding. Boleros are perfect if you don’t want to show off too much flesh and they can keep you warm too!
