Weddings Abroad Statistics

Weddings abroad can often be more intimate, less costly and a lot less stressful, which is why so many British couples are opting to get married outside of the UK. Because of their element of fun and air of carefree romance, destination weddings create special memories that will last a lifetime, not only for the bride and groom but also for the wedding guests. Not only are the guests sharing the cherished moments of the wedding with the happy couple, but they are also sharing the experience of a fabulous vacation.

Statistics now show that approximately 16 percent of first marriages take place in a far-flung destination. Include second marriages in the statistics and that figure jumps to 60 percent.

Today, more than one out of every ten couples chooses to tie the knot abroad. With destination weddings becoming more and more mainstream, the choices for wedding locations are also growing. But with so many choices, where are the best places to have a wedding abroad? Here are a few ideas:
