Don't Worry About the Video Camera
We all know people who just soak up attention and love being the focus of any event, but there are also those of us who prefer to blend in, and for those people the idea of being followed around by a video camera all day can be a little daunting.
Of course, there are also people who hate having their photo taken, but most wouldn't dream of getting married without hiring a wedding photographer. Do you really need to be more worried about the video cameras? I don't think so, and here's why:
First of all, a reality check. I don't want to worry you, but on your wedding day you will be the centre of attention. All eyes will be on you all day. That might sound scary at first, but I promise you, you won't mind a bit - you'll be far too excited about what's going on to feel bashful.
Second, you'll look fantastic. Your hair and makeup will be amazing, you'll be wearing that dream dress you searched for for days (weeks? months?), which has then been tailored to fit you perfectly, and people will be telling you how great you look all day!
Finally, chances are you literally won't even notice the video cameras. Unlike photographers, who often need to be in control in order to set up group shots and may even take the two of you away to a quiet corner for some undisturbed shots, most videographers will stay well in the background, capture everything that goes on, and try not to interact with you or your guests. Time and again you'll see testimonials on videographers' websites from brides and grooms saying “we hardly noticed you were there”.
