Chair Covers or Hired Seating?
As a wedding and civil partnership planner, whenever I visit potential venues there are always two things in mind. What are the chairs like and will the table cloths reach the floor?! It may sound trivial but details such as these can make the difference between 'fabulous' and 'we couldn't be bothered'.

Let me explain; wedding venues usually have a standard range of seating. For many it's practical, can be easily stacked, is probably metal framed and the upholstery is invariably a lovely shade of maroon velour! This is fine for a corporate function of sales executives, but not for one of life’s major celebrations.
Many couples fall in into the trap of thinking that just because the chairs are there they have to have what's on offer. The alternative is hiring chair covers, which CAN look acceptable (I have heard them described as looking like a room full of ghosts), but in my opinion rarely do. As with table cloths, chair covers should be ironed, they should fit the chair perfectly and every sash should be tied expertly. The reality is that covers are time consuming to fit, always move around when people sit down and end up looking creased.

I think there is a far better and easier way to dress a room. Consider hiring in beautiful seating that will not only match your chosen colour scheme, but also make a serious style statement.
One of the most popular and stylish chairs for wedding receptions is the Camelot chair, a faux bamboo chair which comes in an array of finishes, including silver and gold, with white and limewash being amongst my favourites.
