Bridal Hair and Make-Up for a Mixed Marriage
Mixed marriages are no longer a thing of the past and it is lovely to be part of the blending of two different cultures, ideas, styles and beliefs.
I have just had the pleasure of being part of a recent wedding for a mixed marriage of a white bride who was marrying her Indian husband-to-be. She very much wanted to embrace the Indian culture and we wanted to find a way to reflect that with her hair and make-up.

The wonderful thing for me was that we were going to be adapting Asian make-up which is predominantly colourful and vibrant onto pale skin and finding a look that she was happy with.
Instead of the usual natural make-up, out came the false lashes, glitter and beautiful face decor including bindis. Her Indian family had packets of them for us to play with and we had a wonderful experience, as I too was learning something new.

Our way to reflect the new culture she was marrying into was to use Indian style make-up and more traditional and classic wedding hair with Indian adornments. The result as you can see was breathtaking!

I guess my final word on the subject is that whatever your family situation is, embrace it and enjoy the new world you are entering, as I certainly loved thinking out of the box to make these ideas happen.
