Hen Parties - Mad Hen Hatters and Tea Parties
With the huge success of the Sex in the City series afternoon tea has never been so popular, although Carrie Bradshaw has resurrected it into something more contemporary than what you used to do with your Gran on a Sunday afternoon.
Hen parties have taken this age-old tradition by storm, and have enjoyed embracing it with a modern twist by adding a sprinkle of something extra like vintage styling for hair and make-up or cup cake decorating. I feel afternoon tea has to be done right, that’s why we only use the best venues in great locations for our hen parties, where they serve the best finger sandwiches, use only the finest tea and the freshest scones, where every miniature cake melts in your mouth without a single chew. I have just eaten my lunch but I am still imagining that 3-tier cake stand full of delicious tiny cakes, my mouths watering just at the thought!

To turn your afternoon tea party into something a little different, why not try cup cake decorating with your afternoon tea and bring out your creative side, or swap tea for champagne.
Talking of creativity, in the title I mentioned Mad Hen Hatters, how about creating your own fascinator perfect for the upcoming wedding. Using gorgeous feathers, beading, sinamay, veiling and trimming, you will make a beautiful fascinator in your choice of fabulous colours and there are loads to choose from. What’s more, you don’t have to be good at making to have a wonderful time, gossiping and giggling the day away.

I feel a modern hen party doesn’t have to be about a pamper day, a dancing class or a shopping trip, even though these are amazing popular hen do activities. If you have been on a hen party this year with said activities try something a little different on yours. It’s a great way to chillax and catch up with your friends properly.
