Do Grooms Enjoy Wedding Planning?

Do grooms enjoy wedding planning?  Having helped many weddings over the years, I believe the answer is a very secret yes. As often as not, when I am looking after a groom there can be an element of "bovvered" going on especially when the bride is not present or when accompanied by his mates.

However, when you look closely you can see that the groom is actually "bovvered" and should be. Given the sums of money involved with planning a wedding, let alone things like colour schemes, music choices and so on, if a groom really isn't that interested in the planning then he basically has to like it or lump it.

I often end up looking after a groom that is so "out of the loop" with the wedding plans that he will be attending his own wedding without having a clue what is going on. I say, “take an interest guys". Not only do you earn severe brownie points in doing so, having a greater input means that you can have had a say and therefore enjoy your wedding experience and wedding day more.

Thankfully there is a new trend toward made to measure suits, an area that we are introducing for 2011. This is great news as this means that a groom has instigated the idea and of course has to put in as much effort into his outfit as the bride will for hers.

Made to Measure wedding suits is another story. See my next instalment which is coming soon.
