Choosing Your Civil Partnership Stationery

I was recently looking for civil partnership stationery and found myself becoming increasingly disappointed with what is available. Little thought seems to have been given to this new section of the market and it seems to be either stereotypical (do I really do want a Drag Queen on my invitation?) or has that (and I’m being nice here!) homemade look. Just as with a conventional wedding, your stationery will set the tone for your civil partnership, so there is no reason why you should have to make do with something less than you expect, but where do you go? If you can’t find what you want from the offerings that are supposed to do the job, then I have no hesitation in recommending the services of a conventional wedding stationer to create something entirely personal for you.

One of my favourite companies to do this would have to be Emily & Jo. Having had the pleasure of working with them before I know they would be delighted to produce what you want; either from one of their existing ranges or something completely bespoke. To help you get started Emily & Jo will send you one of their beautiful sample packs with up to 5 designs. This costs £7 and is credited against your final order. To show you how a design can work across a complete range, they will also include samples of other items, enabling you to create a complete and stylish suite of stationery. If you have a specific colour scheme in mind, then Emily & Jo can customise designs to suit at no extra charge.

Among my favourites designs are, romantic Vintage, stylish Soho, contemporary Sans Frill or historic Botanical. I’m particularly keen on the long slender style of invitation that seems to be in vogue right now, which although modern in shape has a timeless elegance about it. Don’t take my word for it though, try them for yourselves or better yet, get the girls to design you something completely unique.  There really is something for everyone!
